The challenge
Build a nutrition app people would actually use — not another form with endless food lists. The goal was to eliminate friction: the user says what they ate in natural language and the AI handles the rest. Built as a real product with authentication, a database, payment plans and a brand identity.
The solution
I built MacroByte as a full SaaS with Bity as the assistant — a chatbot with a sarcastic and motivating personality that analyses meals with Gemini 2.0 Flash and instantly returns calories, protein, carbs and fat. Authentication and data persistence run on Supabase with Row Level Security so each user only accesses their own data.

Product & monetization
Three plans: Free (€0 forever), Premium (€3.99/month) and Sigma (€9.99/month). The main differentiator is Bity's memory — the more messages it remembers, the more personalised the assistant becomes. The Sigma plan includes early access to all future features.
